Bev Hutchinson Counselling
What to Expect:
Jane AppAfter booking an appointment you will receive a welcome email from Jane. Jane is a health management software that healthcare professionals use because it is encrypted, HIPAA compliant, and offers a secure video conferencing platform. Jane also lets you print off bills for insurance companies, change/move/cancel appointments and book appointments.
PaperworkYou will also automatically receive two documents. The first document is a counselling agreement form. This form documents cancellation policies, confidentiality limitations and billing procedures. The second form is an intake form which can be presented to Bev prior to the first session or can be reviewed together during the first session.
VideoYour online link for the video counselling session will be sent to you the day before your appointment. There will also be a reminder email sent a few hours before it begins via the JaneApp. Please remember to use the Chrome browser otherwise the video can be disrupted and if you are using a Mac or iPhone, you will need to download the Jane App prior to your online session
If the video is not working Bev will phone you at the number you provided in the Jane app.
First session:The first session is an introductory session. Bev will review or go through the intake form with you to get a better understanding of who you are, what your current problems are and your goals for counselling. After this information is gleaned you and Bev then decide on the frequency of sessions and what you will work on first.
Subsequent sessions:Your next sessions with Bev will be based on your counselling goals. You will work together as partners to achieve the therapy goals you have set and to enhance your well being!
